“…I was impressed by his natural musicality, deep insight and a most brilliant

Elysium Concerts

With Elysium Concerts, I founded a concert series in 2024 that brings together my two great passions: a love of chamber music and the desire to inspire people for classical music in a direct and personal way. The concerts take place at Nymphenburg Palace – a venue where history, architecture, and sound come together in a very special way.

As artistic director, I curate each programme like a story of its own. At the heart of it are unusual combinations of works, thematic dramaturgy, and encounters between well-known masterpieces and rarely performed gems. Instead of feeling like a “duty programme”, an evening at Elysium Concerts is meant to feel like a discovery – surprising, moving, and inspiring.

A central part of the concept is the closeness between stage and audience. The musicians speak to the audience themselves, introduce the pieces, and share background, personal connections, and moments from rehearsal. This creates an atmosphere in which classical music is not distant, but directly and intensely experienced – both by seasoned concertgoers and by people attending a chamber music concert for the very first time.

Young talents are particularly close to my heart: at Elysium Concerts, they regularly have the chance to perform – for example in the form of an “opening act” before the main programme. In this way, promising young musicians can gain important stage experience and grow in a professional setting.

Elysium Concerts aims to be a place where artistic excellence, curiosity, and a sense of welcome come together – a space for intense musical encounters, conversations in the foyer, and evenings that stay with you.
