As a soloist, Simon Luethy has performed with orchestras such as the Südwestdeutsche Philharmonie, the State Symphony Orchestra St. Petersburg, the Filharmonia Sudecka, the Geringas Chamber Orchestra, the Augsburg Chamber Orchestra, and the Münchner Kammerphilharmonie Dacapo. In this context he has worked with conductors including Eckart Manke, Georgios Balatsinos, Paweł Przytocki, Bernd-Georg Mettke, David Geringas, Zakhar Bron, Franz Schottky, and Peter Bauer.
Chamber music forms a particular focus of his artistic life. Invitations to internationally renowned festivals regularly bring him together with artists such as Enrico Pace, Benedict Klöckner, Razvan Popovici, Kristóf Baráti, Kirill Troussov, István Várdai, Alexandra Troussova, Christoph Poppen, Marcelo Amaral, and the Apollon Musagète Quartet. His chamber music activities are guided and supported by mentors including the Quatuor Ébène, Dirk Mommertz (Fauré Quartet), and Silke Avenhaus.
Simon Luethy shapes the musical landscape not only on stage but also as a presenter and curator: in 2024 he founded the concert series „Elysium Concerts“, held at Schloss Nymphenburg in Munich. Here he pursues a dual mission: on the one hand, he offers outstanding young musicians a prominent platform; on the other, he seeks direct dialogue with the audience in a unique atmosphere. Each concert is presented in an exceptional format with a carefully conceived and dramaturgically engaging concept. Spoken introductions and pre-concert talks create space for questions and exchange – a forum emerges in which musical excellence, the promotion of young talent, and audience-centered communication naturally intertwine.
Since 2018, Simon Luethy has been passing on his experience as a violin teacher. His students have received multiple awards at national and international competitions; under his guidance, several have won numerous first prizes both in Germany and abroad.
His musical development began with studies under Margret Niklas and Jorge Sutil. In 2012 he continued his training with Kirill Troussov and spent four years as a pre-college student of Zakhar Bron. At the University of Music and Performing Arts Munich, Simon Luethy completed his studies with Christoph Poppen and Lena Neudauer. He has also received important artistic inspiration from Veronika Eberle and Erik Schumann. In 2025 he further deepens his work through projects at the Kronberg Academy.
Since 2017, Simon Luethy has been playing a violin by Nicola Gagliano (Naples, 1765), which is made available to him on private loan.
